For those who want to see what you are really putting in your bodies, I highly recommend the MyFitnessPal app. You can scan the barcode of whatever your eating, and tell it how much your eating of it and it does the math for you. It will show you a pie chart of what your eating, what vitamins you are getting or are not getting. I put in all the ingredients of the chili I made tonight for supper.... did you know there are 100 calories in just 1/2 cup of light red kidney beans?!?!! I really makes me think about things when I plan my menu! I have been watching what I eat for about a week now, ( I got a jump start on my resolution) and so far I haven't seen a change on the scale but man oh man do I feel better.
On a side note, I know I did not post at all during the Christmas season. My husband and I had a break from school almost the entire month of December, and well Christmas isn't exactly our favorite time of the year anymore since losing RJ. I love finding gifts for other people but quite frankly other than that, Christmas sucks. We were okay with Christmas being the two of us before we were expecting our oldest, Phoebe. Once we lost her, it wasn't as much fun and ever since then, they've just been worse and worse. This year RJ would have had a little bit more of an understanding as to what Christmas is. I wish I could see his sweet little smile and those blue eyes shine one more time.......................
